Ralph d'Aarken
Ralph is an extremely experienced re-enactor and a man of many
and varied talents; from playing and making period musical instruments,
to reproducing wooden carved scenes to donning armour and fighting
for the Yorkist cause.
Areas of interest: music, crafts, military and almost any aspect
of medieval life.

Mark Austen
Mark brings a wealth of experience to the group as an exceptional
craftsman. He has a portable forge and is able to demonstrate wood
and metal work techniques.
He is also a very capable archer.
Areas of interest: woodwork, metal work and assoicated crafts,
archery.

Cameron Boyle
Cam has been re-enacting since an early age and is often seen walking
his ferrets or helping his father in the "hovel". In another
persona, Cam is "Squire to Lord Bonivant".
He also bakes exceedingly good cakes!

Fiona Boyle
Fiona is an experienced re-enactor within the medieval period.
She has a lot of experience commentating, scripting and running
large scale battles for other groups.
An extremely experienced seamstress, Fi takes an active part in
our living history presentations, felting, making reed hats and
churning butter..to name but a few activites.

Nick Boyle
Nick is a highly skilled craftsman and is constantly researching
medieval wood working methods and tools. He often exhibits his award
winning woodworkers "hovel" at events. His demonstrations
are a real favourite with the public.
Areas of interest: wood working and associated crafts.

Chris Davies
Amongst other things Chris is a secondary school teacher and qualified
archery instructor
As expected, Chris is an excellent archer and underakes many other
outdoor pursuits with the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. He is
also a talented calligrapher and fletcher. His abilities seem boundless!
Areas of interest: archery, calligraphy and western martial arts.

Ian Flint
Ian works for a national conservation and heritage charity shaping
how heritage sites work with their visitors. Coming from a museums
background, he has won prestigious awards in living history competitions.
His re-enactment experience covers various periods and is not
limited to the UK. As a founder member of a Western Martial Arts
school, he works with other martial artists in the group to develop
our highly popular combat demonstrations.
Area of Interest: Western and Eastern martial arts, Living History
Interpretation, trade and exploration.

Alice Horgan
Alice is unbeatable at a number of medieval games and enjoys demonstrating
period games to the public. She also casts pewter badges and trinkets
from moulds made at events.
She has been know to wield a polearm to good effect, but rumours
of women on the battlefield are hard to substantiate.
Areas of interest: western martial arts, archery, medieval games,
Tudor re-enactment.

Annie Horgan
As a primary school HLTA, Annie is very used to preparing demonstrations
and presentations across a wide range of subjects.
She is skilled at making period costumes and has a comprehensive
set of medieval cures and salves.
Areas of interest: medieval medicine and cooking, sewing, traditional
crafts and period dress.

Fred Horgan
Fred loves to fight with light, fast pole weapons. He is also an
instructor in Ju Jitsu and is interested in the comparisons and
similarities between Eastern and Western martial arts.
Fred also demonstrated stained glass work at events.
Areas of interest: western martial arts, eastern martial arts,
arms and armour, Tudor re-enactment, medieval glasswork.

John Horgan
An ex-teacher, John is no stranger to giving presentations. He
enjoys researching the characters and battles of the middle ages.
As one of our "tinnies" John is often used for target
practise by our archers!
Areas of interest: western martial arts, battles and tactics from
the Wars of the Roses, historical figures - especially John Howard,
John Tiptoft and James Tyrell, heraldry, Tudor re-enactment.

Edward Jackson
Edward is a skilled graphic designer and has provided a good deal
of input into our levels of historical presentation and design of
our livery and colours. Edward presents and creates period illustrations
and paintings using many authentic pigments at events.
He is also a talented actor and is often called on to take primary
roles in larger re-enactments.
Areas of interest: western martial arts, living history.

Alex Moore
Alex has been re-enacting since a young age and is a skilled swordsman.
He also has experience of re-enactment of other time periods.
Areas of interest: western martial arts, archery.

Harriet Moore
Harriet, like many women iof this period, is a competent archer.
Women mayhave used bows to hunt small game while their husbands
worked elsewhere. There is also evidence of women archers on muster
rolls for the defence of towns.
Harriet can also use a polearm when necessary, but this is well
kept secret.

Peter Moore
Peter is head of an award winning living history household with
another group, where he portrays Sir John Tiptoft, the Earl of Worcester.
He has many years re-enactment experience and a gleaming full harness
for the archers to target.
Areas of interest: western martial arts, arms and armour of the
middle ages, life and achievements of the de la Pole and Tiptoft
families, Tudor re-enactment.

Ali Naylor
Ali is a very experienced re-enactor and brings her skills as a
musician and dancer to the group. She also re-enacts other periods
of history, especially Tudor.
Areas of interest: music, dancing, medieval life, Tudor re-enactment.

Colin Perry
Colin has judged living history competitions and is a skilled archer.
He is largely responsible for the quality of our archery displays
and training of our archers. He is also competent fletcher.
Areas of interest: archery, medieval life.

Shirley Sharp
As a secondary school teacher and Duke of Edinburgh trainer, Shirley
is a first class educator.
Aside from her skills at archery, Shirley is competent in a number
of medieval crafts, in particular beadwork.
Areas of interest: archery, medieval crafts, living history.

Tina Steiner
Tina started re-enactment in 1996 in Germany when hardly any good
kit was available. Being a hands-on person she sews her own costumes
and has made a wide range of things like shoes, pattens, furniture
and arrows.
She demonstrates weaving rushes, one of the oldest known materials,
into hats, bags, boxes and bowls, participates in the archery demonstration
and is rumoured to have an evil twin who fights battles as a man
at arms.
Areas of interest: archery, horse riding.

Tony Tolliday
Tony is an exceptionally skilled artisan. He excells in all things
made from wood and is able to turn his hand to many crafts. Tony
is an expert on botany and medieval plants and crops and has a wealth
of information relating to medieval peasant life. He is also skilled
with a pollaxe.
Areas of interest: medieval hoticulture, wood "bothering",
madieval life.

Lyuba Zaitseva
Lyuba is very creative and is concerned with presenting an authentic
display of complex weaving and braiding. She also grows a number
of authentic food crops, such as white carrots, for use in our pottage.
There is rumour that she has donned men's clothing and fought
with sword in battles. Surely the penalties for such behaviour would
prohibit it ?
Areas of interest: western martial arts, painting and crafts from
the medieval period, living history, authentic food.
